Why do Japanese people have such a special feeling towards cherry blossoms? While full bloom is beautiful, some people also love the moment they start to fall!



I first became aware of David Bowie in real time around 1983, when he released "Let's Dance." I knew he was a glam rock superstar through my father's music library, of course, but it goes without saying that the photographers who best conveyed that image were those who took the album covers for his 70s albums like "Space Oddity." Those photographers were Mick Rock, a Cambridge graduate.
This time, we'll be introducing his latest photo book, and on the opening day, he'll be coming to Japan himself to give a speech in the salon exclusively for Friends. On the first day of his visit to Japan, Mick Rock gave a speech at our office, and we had such a wonderful time listening to him talk about a wide range of topics, from anecdotes about David Bowie to music and fashion from the 70s, that we completely lost track of time.
