New models revived from the archives of the late former president John Hrustick will be released, and the trunk show will feature a museum-like display of discontinued models such as the old Top Drawer! -- A trunk show that's like "All about EDWARD GREEN" will start on Wednesday, March 22nd Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F = Men's Shoes.

I want to share the appeal of Edward Green with more people.

According to the men's shoe product manager, "This is the first time we've held two trunk shows in one year, following the one last November. This time, we'll be offering a special sale of the 2017 Spring/Summer limited edition model 'NEWLYN,' which will only be available at Isetan Men's worldwide."

The "Newlin" model is a vamp-type shoe created by the late John Hulstick, the president before current CEO Hilary Freeman, and uses the slip-on-specific last (shoe mold) 100. The square toe gives it an elegant feel.


For men's shoes, we've planned events such as the "Slip-On Museum," which brings together Mitsukoshi Isetan exclusive slip-ons from popular British and Italian brands, and we're strengthening our focus on slip-ons this season. While slip-ons currently have a strong casual image, they were once the most formal shoes worn by the aristocracy. This season's Edward Green "Newlyn" will also be highlighted as a "dress slip-on."

"Only 4 pairs can be made per day"—skin stitch born from exceptional skill.

The elegant feel of the "Newlin" comes from its one-piece construction, crafted from a single piece of the finest calfskin. Cuts are made into the single piece of leather, and skin stitching is applied by hand to the inside of the leather, giving it the appearance of a moccasin—a testament to the highly skilled craftsmanship of Edward Green's artisans.

According to Andy Peach, Edward Green's top craftsman who is coming to Japan for this trunk show, there are only three craftsmen who can do skin stitching, and each of them can only make four pairs a day.


Furthermore, the green lining was specially adopted for this new linen because it was so well-received when used in President Hillary's slip-on shoes. It's the same color as the Edward Green box, and truly represents the brand's identity color.

The trunk show's pattern order service will feature the classic "Dover" model.

Furthermore, at the pattern order event held from Wednesday the 22nd to Tuesday the 28th, we will focus on the brand's proud masterpiece, the "DOVER" U-tip shoe, and will accept orders for variations that are not available through our regular men's shoe order service, such as the soft and light unlined "Summer Dover" (commonly known as).


In this trunk show, we will be showcasing the masterpiece that is so iconic it's often referred to as "Green's Dover," highlighting its new appeal.
