A bridal ring has been created in collaboration with artist Hiroko Takahashi, who engages in unique forms of artistic expression.

Isetan Original, a bridal ring brand, has collaborated with artist Hiroko Takahashi, who is active both domestically and internationally, to create the bridal ring brand TAKAHASHI HIROKO for ISETAN, which is currently being promoted for a limited time at the Jewelry & Watch section on the 4th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku Store from Wednesday, February 22nd.
exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku Store , we will be showcasing bridal rings along with leather goods from "HIROCOLEDGE" and tea from "LADDERS," both produced by Mr. Takahashi, allowing you to experience his unique and creative worldview.

Isetan Men's Net features an interview with artist Hiroko Takahashi about this collaboration.
What kind of activities does Mr. Takahashi engage in, genre-less work that is not bound by any particular method of expression? We asked him about the message he put into the bridal rings created through this collaboration, and the inspiration behind the design.

Hiroko Takahashi

In 2008, she completed her doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, and obtained her doctorate. While staying in Paris at the invitation of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs during her student days, she held an exhibition and was told by a local woman, "I envy you for being involved in such wonderful Japanese culture," which made her realize that she had only had a superficial understanding of kimono until then. After that, she strongly felt that she should learn more about the world surrounding kimono, and began to think not only about dyeing and weaving techniques and pattern design, but also about the role of kimono in contemporary Japan.
Currently, in addition to creative activities using kimono as a medium of expression, she is involved in a wide range of activities, including creating products in collaboration with factories and artisans with traditional techniques throughout Japan, presenting her works both domestically and internationally, and collaborating with various companies and production areas.
