Over four weeks, we'll be featuring brands and items that have garnered attention this year, under the themes of "A watch for someone else" and "A watch for yourself." In the second week, starting Wednesday, December 7th, we'll be focusing on the French brand Michel Herbelin.

The "Metropole" collection, the oldest in the brand's history since its founding in 1947, is a classic timepiece that carries on tradition.

Newport Yacht Club Open Heart

Stainless steel case: 40.3mm diameter, 10 ATM water resistance, automatic movement. 284,040 yen.

The "Newport Yacht Club" collection, with its marine theme reminiscent of the sea, features a case shape inspired by a ship's porthole. Furthermore, the collection is full of marine-inspired details, including a steering wheel mark at the 12 o'clock position on the dial, and hands and indices designed to resemble ships.

Odyssey

Stainless steel case: 41mm diameter, 10 ATM water resistance, automatic movement, 183,600 yen

With its bezel featuring screws and stainless steel bracelet, the "Odyssey" has a sharp and sophisticated look, while its extremely simple dial and slim case design make it a cool timepiece.
Until last year, the collection consisted only of quartz watches, but this year, automatic watches have been added, expanding the range of the collection.
