The brand we collaborated with this time is hide k 1896, a carbon material brand. It was founded by Hideyuki Kasuga, the fourth generation of NiKKi Fron, a company with a 120-year history of material development and manufacturing, after many years of research and development of materials.


Real soft carbon leather is made by impregnating carbon textile with a special resin, primarily polyvinyl chloride, using a special device that applies temperature and pressure, resulting in a "soft, high-quality real carbon" material. It can be used as a substitute for leather, and its tensile strength gives it unique characteristics not found in leather, such as being "non-stretchable," "maintaining its shape," "scratch-resistant," and "water-resistant." Its distinctive geometric patterns are also a key feature.

Furthermore, the Leica Q delivers beautiful image rendering in ambient light, and its 28mm focal length allows for natural perspective. It also boasts excellent shooting speed, achieving the fastest autofocus function in its class for a compact camera equipped with a full-frame sensor.
