Welcome to the world of Hermès menswear as presented in the latest collection.

The Nature of Men—For the modern man. From Wednesday, October 5th to Tuesday, November 8th, a limited-time boutique showcasing the Hermès men's universe will appear in the promotion area on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . The theme of this fall/winter Hermès men's collection, "The Nature of Men," translates directly to "The essence of man" or "What is nature to a man?" Hermès seeks the answer to this question by stepping outside the boutique and into an event open to the city.

"The Nature of Men" – The collection unfolds with the city as a central motif.

In response to the question, "What is the essence of manhood, and what does nature mean to a man?", Hermès defines "nature for the modern man" as "nature within the city." In "The Nature of Men," they express "nature as perceived by urban dwellers" on the streets and in pop-up boutiques open to the city. Striking graphic illustrations become a signature feature, coming alive on the streets of Harajuku in Tokyo and at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .

Live painting and digital event to be held in Harajuku

Stepping out of the Hermès boutiques that create such a beautiful world, the first place we landed was BANK GALLERY in Harajuku. On both Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, live painting by artists and a highly original digital event were held there.

The wall of BANK GALLERY is adorned with a colorful and pop-art image of a city, expressed by Irish illustrator Nigel Peake, based on the keyword "The Nature of Men." It took two days to complete.

Hermès' aim was to create a street event that people passing by could easily enjoy, and it attracted attention as such, with comments such as, "We were surprised when we went into the Cat Street event and it turned out to be Hermès," from a young couple, "There was no brand logo on the building, so it was unexpected to find out it was Hermès inside," and "It was fun with a playful touch that was typical of Hermès."

They also highlighted that scanning the QR code on the postcard distributed at the venue would allow access to the official LINE account (@hermes), where attendees could find various information about Hermès Men's.

Check out this event featuring "parkour," an extreme sport originating in France!

Furthermore, as part of the street events, a parkour performance, an extreme sport originating in France, will be held at the Harajuku cafe "R/O-426" from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th.

Parkour is a sport that trains the mind and body through movements that focus on movement, such as running, jumping, and climbing, utilizing the surrounding environment. Over the two days mentioned above, parkour artists URBAN UNION will be showcasing their dance performance. URBAN UNION, which includes top-class parkour performers and coaches, will be performing a must-see jumping performance over Nigel's graphical installation "The Nature of Men," which is based on the theme of a city.

The limited-time boutique is Hermès' men's select shop.

Then, on Wednesday, October 5th, Hermès Men's will open a limited-time boutique on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , in the promotion area. There, they will be offering Japan-exclusive items for pre-sale, including ready-to-wear for Fall/Winter 2016 by Véronique Nichanian, who has long served as the artistic director of Hermès Men's division, as well as shoes, leather goods, ties, and more.

The limited-time boutique at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building open until November 8th (Tuesday), features a graphic, themed space called "The Nature of Men," showcasing eye-catching illustrations by Nigel Cumberbatch on T-shirts, cashmere crewneck sweaters, cotton canvas sneakers, and cashmere silk lozenges—all available for pre-sale. [Opening Report] A limited-time boutique offering a curated selection of Hermès men's items has opened.

A limited-time boutique showcasing the tradition, innovation, and challenges of Hermès Men's has opened on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Until November 8th (Tuesday), the boutique will feature a wide selection of items, including Japan-exclusive products from "The Nature of Men," created under the direction of Véronique Nichanian, Artistic Director of Hermès Men's, as well as the Fall/Winter 2016 ready-to-wear collection.

A select shop for men located in an open space.

Located right next to the entrance on the first floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building this limited-time boutique features a bright space filled with colorful and pop urban imagery expressed by Irish illustrator Nigel Peake, based on the keyword "The Nature of Men."

In addition to the interior, enveloped in Hermès' signature colors that can only be experienced at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , the fixtures placed directly in front of the entrance were also specially made for this occasion, resulting in a highly original boutique that prominently displays the season's theme.

Furthermore, on the front wall of the limited-time boutique, the theme of the 2016 Autumn/Winter collection, "Vibration of Color," is expressed by linking the colors of the wall with the ready-to-wear display. The sense of unity and rhythm of the colors is pleasantly conveyed.

A wide selection of Japan-exclusive items

The fixtures directly in front of the entrance display "The Nature of Men" Japan-exclusive items, which will only be sold at this limited-time boutique, the Hermès Ginza store, and the Hermès online boutique.

For this "The Nature of Men" collection, director Veronique wanted Japanese men to use the items on a daily basis, and the collection features T-shirts incorporating Nigel's colorful graphics, cashmere crewneck sweaters with the same graphics in a chic way, Hermès' classic cotton canvas sneakers, cashmere silk scarves, and leather goods.

In particular, for your first Hermes purchase, I highly recommend the graphic leather accessories. This series, which combines the quality of the leather with expert craftsmanship, features raw-edged leather fastened only with snaps to create a three-dimensional effect. You'll notice the difference in the leather's texture when you hold it in your hands.

Furthermore, at the back of the display case, you'll find the "Bolide Shark" bag, which made its runway debut and garnered worldwide attention. This is a Hermès classic, created in 1923, and is also famous as the first bag in history to use a zipper. Adding a playful touch to such a historically significant and iconic bag is a true hallmark of Hermès.

Please visit our limited-time boutique for new encounters and unforgettable experiences.

"I came to buy a tie, but there are so many different men's items, I made some new discoveries about Hermes, like, 'I didn't know Hermes had these kinds of products!'" said a customer who visited on the morning of the first day. This limited-time boutique offers a product lineup that showcases the full scope of Hermes men's current worldview, so please come and experience the world of Hermes for yourself. There are plans to change the products during the one-month period, so it will be enjoyable not only for Hermes fans but also for women.
