The Mitsukoshi Isetan-wide campaign, "Italian Week," begins on Tuesday, September 27th. In this momentous year marking the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will present "Italian Week Cerruti Cinema Project," showcasing items inspired by costumes from various classic films.
Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1st floor, the promotion area will feature an exhibition of archived items from Cerruti, which has been sent from Italy, as well as sales by Italian staff. This promotion will allow you to experience the world of Cerruti, a brand known for its active provision of costumes for films.

A pioneer in collaborations between movies and fashion brands.

Founded in Biella, Italy in 1881, Cerruti started as a fabric manufacturer but rapidly grew into a fashion brand under the leadership of the third generation, Nino Cerruti.
Based on the expertise he had cultivated in producing high-quality fabrics, he presented his menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week in 1957. His approach of handling everything from raw materials to finished apparel products was pioneered by many brands, and his style, which accurately captured the trends of the times, quickly made him a globally popular brand.
Another major achievement of Nino Cerruti was his active provision of costumes for various films. Cerruti's clothing has been worn in numerous films, including the French-Italian co-production "Borsalino" and many Hollywood productions.

At the "Cerruti Cinema Project" held as a promotion on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , an archive exhibition featuring items from the Italian company Cerruti that are not usually on display will be exhibited. In addition, each floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will feature items from up-and-coming tailors and fashion houses around the world, as well as reproduced fabrics, all inspired by movie costumes.
