A cheerful melody plays during CHALIE VICE's holiday.

To all of CHALIE VICE's friends, thank you for always reading the Angels Blog!
CHALIE is constantly traveling the world, so she has an endless stream of things she wants to share with her friends. Please be sure to keep an eye on the Angels Blog!

Now, this time, we'll introduce some "blissful ways to spend your time" as suggested by CHALIE, who has already started her summer vacation.

What CHALIE values most in life is "how to spend precious time meaningfully and richly." I'm sure all of her friends already know this, right? When summer comes, CHALIE says she likes to "feel cool through sound."
My current favorite is the ukulele, which I found in the tropical paradise of Hawaii. I find that listening to the cheerful and powerful sound of the ukulele while relaxing on the beach and gazing at the blue sky and sea is very refreshing.
What captivated CHALIE was a ukulele from KAMAKA UKULELE.

The original ukulele is said to have been a small guitar called a braguinha, which was brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese in the 19th century. It is believed that the Portuguese started making ukuleles using koa wood, which is native to Hawaii.
Later, Samuel Kaialiiliilii Kamaka, who learned ukulele-making techniques from them, began making ukuleles at his home in Kaimuki, Oahu, in 1916. Today, his workshop has become a long-established ukulele maker, synonymous with Hawaiian ukuleles.

Currently, the ukuleles are made by around 20 craftsmen, led by the third generation of Chris Kamaka, Fred Kamaka Jr., and Casey Kamaka, who cherish the inherited techniques and work with the motto of "making the best ukuleles in the world."

From left to right: Concert size HF-2 ¥169,560, Deluxe series concert size HF-2LD ¥329,400, Standard size HF-1 ¥140,400

Left/Concert size is slightly larger than a soprano saxophone. It offers a full tone while retaining the ease of use of a smaller soprano, and is also called an alto saxophone.
The Central/Deluxe Series concert-sized amps feature high-quality flamed koa wood and rope binding. This series, meticulously crafted by a select few artisans, delivers a superior, luxurious sound.
Right/Kamaka Ukulele: A standard size that's a favorite among many. Its easy-to-play size is a key feature, making it suitable for beginners.

Playing a Kamaka ukulele, imbued with the blessings of Hawaii and the passion of its craftsmen, will surely bring the refreshing breeze and the scent of the ocean to your heart. Please take this opportunity to check them out!

Furthermore, on July 18th (Monday, public holiday), we will be hosting an event with special guests. The Sweet Holywaians, a musical group that is also popular in the United States, will be giving a ukulele lesson and you can also enjoy their wonderful performance. We look forward to seeing all of CHALIE's friends there!

Ukulele Experience & Live Event
Founded in 2002 by leader Tomotaka Matsui, Sweet Holywaians is a musical group currently based in Kitahama-Higashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, where they conduct workshops and events. In 2007, they debuted with the album "Hula Girl," which blended jazz, Hawaiian, calypso, and other world music genres with their own unique touch. This album was released simultaneously in Japan and the United States, gaining popularity across borders.
