Like blinking.

As you know, my travel partner is my camera. When I encounter wonderful places and people on my travels... and see a scene I'll never see again, I press the shutter button as if I'm wishing to never forget that moment.

While it's nice to carefully capture moments with my personal Leica, which I cherish and carry with me, it's also fun to spontaneously photograph wonderful scenes that I come across, as easily as blinking in the blink of an eye. You might be surprised to hear this, but when that happens, what I pull out of my pocket is my smartphone. It might not be an exaggeration to say that my smartphone is "another pair of eyes" that imprints the fleeting encounters that I see with my own eyes.

Oh yes, I'll be heading to Miami soon. I'll be capturing the amazing scenery there, too. I plan to take photos with both my Leica and my smartphone, and this time I'm bringing along some smartphone accessories that will make the world I see even more enjoyable.

From Wednesday, April 20th to Sunday, May 8th, THE GALLERY by CHALIE VICE will be showcasing "Like Blinking."


When you're traveling, you encounter all sorts of scenes, right? And when that happens, CHALIE surprisingly pulls out his smartphone. Furthermore, he uses various items to capture the image exactly as he sees it, making it his goal to take photos that maximize the memories he creates.
Next time you stop by the gallery, please share photos and stories about your party with your friends in Miami before you leave, and your vacation memories! CHALIE!

MUSIC Liberation Area w/ Sofar Sounds TOKYO

"Liberation Zone w/ Sofar Sounds TOKYO" is a live music event where you can relax and chat with musicians, feeling as if you've come to a live show in a friend's living room, and experience music up close. Inspired by the activities of "Sofar Sounds," which was born in London in 2009 and is enjoyed in over 220 cities worldwide, this event will be held for the first time at Isetan. Come and experience "new musical encounters" curated by "Sofar Sounds TOKYO" with your family, close friends, or partner.
