"The black pepper gives a tingling sensation to the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, waking up the whole body and preparing it for drinking. It's the recommended first drink at Salon de Shimaji."
At "Salon de Shimaji," the popular standard menu item and Shimaji's signature dish is the "Spicy Highball." An essential ingredient in this drink is smoked black pepper made at the Yokohama Smoked Food Workshop.

To enjoy spicy highballs with a distinctive smoky flavor, we've focused on "smoking," a technique that uses smoke from fragrant wood to add unique aromas and flavors to ingredients. On Saturday, March 19th, we'll be holding an event where you can fully enjoy the charm of smoked food pairings from Yokohama Smoked Food Workshop.
On the day of the event, we will welcome Mr. Satoshi Kurio, president of Yokohama Smoked Food Workshop, as our guest. You can enjoy smoked food made at Yokohama Smoked Food Workshop and spicy highballs while listening to a lecture on the smoking process and experiencing the aromas.
