Paul Gerber is an independent watchmaker born in Bern, Switzerland in 1950. At the young age of 27, he established his own watchmaking workshop in Zurich, where he restored museum collections and produced watches for famous Swiss brands. In 1989, he designed and created a wooden clock that was only 2.3 cm tall, which was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Arita ware in 2016, a collaborative model was created with the long-established pottery maker "Koransha." The dial was developed from scratch, starting with the creation of clay to achieve both thinness and strength, and fired with an accuracy of 1/100th of a millimeter, utilizing the traditions of the renowned pottery maker and the latest technology to complete the piece. The watch case was also newly developed specifically for this model.
Don't miss this collaboration between a unique independent watchmaker and a renowned Arita porcelain kiln.
