Independent brands HABRING2 and KUDOKE each create their own sector dial models.

A rhythmic design featuring circular and radial lines, produced for a short period in the 1930s...
The design was named the "Sector Dial," and it continues to be highly regarded worldwide for its beauty and rarity.

Two independent watchmakers stepped up to revive these masterpieces of the past for the modern era.
Richard Habring of Habring 2, an Austrian brand specializing in timepieces with universal designs and unique mechanisms, and Stefan Kudoke of Kudoke, a German watchmaker and engraver, are both young independent watchmakers who honed their skills at major watch brands and are now embodying their ideal of watchmaking.

What exactly do these two envision as a modern-day "sector dial"?

—A 36mm sector dial that showcases Richard Habring's discerning eye and technical prowess.
Richard Habring focused on the overall design balance and size. The condensed, delicate dial design is paired with thick, three-dimensional blued steel hour and minute hands reminiscent of past masterpieces, and a 36mm case is used to highlight these designs.

And, as a thoughtful touch befitting his expertise in special mechanisms, this mechanical watch is equipped with a jumping seconds mechanism that moves the hands every second. Achieving this in a mechanical watch requires a special mechanism that stores energy for a certain period of time and releases it instantaneously.

--The Kudoke sector dial revives the design of a masterpiece through hand engraving. The sector dial is characterized by its rhythmic design. Stefan Kudoke has expressed this through his signature relief engraving technique. Based on his own sketches, the process of directly engraving each design onto the silver dial using a microscope is a meticulous task that requires high skill and concentration.
