Tips for wearing a suit as a new graduate: Black and gray suits
Here's a guide to basic dressing techniques and a few variations. If you're planning to buy a suit, shirt, or tie, please use this as a reference.
Black suit coordination

Black suits are traditionally worn for formal occasions such as weddings and funerals, and in other countries, they are only worn at parties with a dress code. While black suits have become more common in the Japanese business world, they are still frowned upon by those in higher professions or older. A solid black suit, like formal wear, is generally considered inappropriate for business settings.
The suit I'm wearing in the photo has a woven pinstripe pattern. The pattern itself isn't very noticeable, but since it's not completely plain, it's not considered rude. Since it's a black suit, choose a shirt and tie in bright colors.

For April, I'll be wearing a suit paired with a white shirt and a soft, warm-toned tie, anticipating situations where I'll be meeting someone for the first time, to make a great impression!

Gray suit coordination

We sometimes hear people say that gray suits make them look older. Of course, that's not true, but to ensure you can wear them without hesitation, we recommend suits with a moderate sheen. They create a sharp look that neither black nor navy suits offer.

For new employees, a simple outfit is recommended: a white shirt paired with a navy tie featuring a small pattern.
