The leather used at the time of its creation has been faithfully reproduced, and it has been revived in the UK.

Clarks Originals Desert Boots, originally made in the UK, had disappeared after production shifted to Asia. Now, 65 years after their creation in 1950, they've been revived in the UK, just like the original. This year, they're packed with details that fans will love, such as the brand's iconic vintage sand suede and the thick stitching only possible in a British factory. Isetan Men's is currently stocking this item, limited to 1,950 pairs worldwide, in the men's shoes section on the basement floor!


In 1949, fourth-generation president Nathan Clark conceived the Desert Boot, inspired by the footwear worn by British Army officers on their days off. Initially, few at Clarks' headquarters in the UK accepted his design, but he didn't give up and traveled to America to promote it. Since then, it has brought a breath of fresh air to the fashion industry and remains a beloved classic shoe that everyone knows, even in today's rapidly changing fashion landscape.


The upper is made from "Vintage Sand Suede," a faithful reproduction of the original leather used by Charles F. Stead, a prestigious tannery with over 100 years of history . The suede leather supplied exclusively to Clarks by the company is meticulously finished under strict dyeing standards. Furthermore, in order to bring out the full potential of the raw hide, the process of thinning the leather, which is usually done in the production of suede, is omitted. As a result, even with a thick, unlined single piece of leather, the leather "stands up" (as shown in the photo on the right), allowing you to enjoy a soft texture.


The stitch-down construction, with its distinctive outsole stitching, allows for thicker stitching only possible with machinery from our British factory. This vibrant orange stitching is truly a symbol of our 65th anniversary. In addition, by eliminating unnecessary materials, this model combines a unique soft feel with functionality. This special kit comes in a special box and includes original socks, leather shoelaces, and a key ring. It's sure to sell out!
