"ISETAN MEN'S CLOTHING CARE Fabric Stain Remover" is a stain remover jointly developed by ISETAN MEN'S and Matsui Chemical, a company that researches and develops commercial detergents for high-end dry cleaners. It is designed to resolve stain problems while minimizing damage to clothing. We had three people actually use it, and we would like to share their experiences.





This product set consists of four bottles, No. 1 through No. 4, and uses four different liquids depending on the type of stain, such as oil stains, curry, tomato sauce, mud splatters, blood, and milk. First, we had you use it in anticipation of various problems.



I tried it with a dress shirt that's 35% cotton and 65% polyester.
For wine stains, use both NO.3 and NO.4 together. Put NO.3 and NO.4 in a 1:5 ratio into the included container and mix thoroughly with a spatula. Gently apply the stain to avoid damaging the fibers, and the wine's red color will turn blue. After leaving it for about 15 minutes, wash it off, and it will be clean as shown in the picture.
The fabric remained in the same condition as before the stain was applied, without any damage to the material. There's no point in removing a stain if it ruins the material, but "Fabric Stain Remover" can be used with confidence.
Since it works this well on colored items, I wondered how it would do on colored jeans, so I tried it on colored jeans as well. I drew on them with an oil-based marker and left it for an hour, and the color didn't come off, but the stain was completely removed.




I tested four different types of stains on wool suit (scraps) using different cleaning agents. The stains in the photo are: top left: soy sauce (using No. 2), top right: wine (using No. 3 & No. 4), bottom left: coffee (using No. 1), bottom right: curry (using No. 1).


Conditions: Remove stain 12 hours after it has been soiled. After stain removal, let it sit for 1 minute and rinse with water once.
After 12 hours, use Fabric Stain Remover, leave for 1 minute, then rinse with water.
Perhaps because it's not as absorbent as cotton, it cleaned up easily and beautifully. There's no sign of fabric damage, fading, or discoloration.
Since it can effectively remove even old stains, it's better to deal with them properly later rather than hastily wiping them with tissue and spreading and rubbing the dirt in.


Next, we had them use this product on stains that had been there for a while or on slightly unusual stains.



I chose kimchi and dark beer for this scenario, based on the idea that I was eating kimchi at a yakiniku restaurant and accidentally spilled some dark beer on it, only realizing it when I got home. (I left the stains for 2 hours.)
I used No. 1 for the kimchi stain, just like I did for curry and meat sauce. It removed the stain completely, but when I tried to remove the dark beer stain with No. 1, the stain didn't spread. So I tried a mixture of No. 3 and No. 4, the same as I used for wine, and this time it came off completely.
If the stain remover isn't suitable for the stain, applying it won't even help to spread the stain. It's all about using the right product for the job. I realized that it's important to assess the type of stain before using a stain remover.
As the weather gets warmer, you'll likely be wearing suits more often and eating out more frequently.

I tested it on a stain that was on the carpet over a year ago, caused by touching it with red ink from my hand. Since the instructions didn't specify which ink to use, I tried No. 1, which is effective on ballpoint pens and permanent markers.
Apply the solvent to the stained area and gently rub it into the dirt with a spatula. A slight stain remains, but it's mostly gone.
The instructions say to repeat the process several times if the stain doesn't come out, so I tried it again, and the stain is now almost completely gone. You can see a slight trace of it in the photo, but it's barely noticeable to the naked eye.
