On rainy days, you want to boost your spirits by carrying your favorite umbrella. This time, we'll focus on basic care methods and share what you need to know to ensure your precious umbrella lasts a long time.

First, before use. When opening the umbrella, gently shake it two or three times to loosen the bundled fabric and prevent damage to the ribs and fabric. Pinch the ferrule with your thumb and index finger, lift it slightly upwards, and press the flick with your middle finger to open it slowly. Opening it too quickly can cause it to break.


After use, always open the umbrella and air dry it in the shade. Be careful not to leave it in direct sunlight, as this will cause the fabric to burn.


As shown in the photo on the left, if the pouch is left closed and wet, the wooden central shaft may absorb moisture and expand, making it difficult to open. Alternatively, the frame may rust, making it difficult to open and close. This can also cause discoloration of the fabric and unpleasant odors.
When folding the umbrella fabric, fold it neatly along the creases. Also, if you pull the band and roll it up haphazardly, as shown in the photo on the right, wrinkles may remain or the creases may change.
