The event will run from Wednesday, April 23rd to Tuesday, May 6th (holiday).

JAPAN HERITAGE COLLECTION
Expressing a unique aesthetic sense born from Japanese culture and tradition.

This time, we're introducing a special collection that expresses the unique Japanese aesthetic sense, rooted in Japanese culture and tradition, through horsehide leather.
Leather products have evolved and expanded in technology and uses alongside the flow of culture and history. This time, we introduce a new collection that expresses a uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense born from this evolution through leather goods.

Wallet "WABICHA - Wabi-cha Cordovan Wallet"
85,800 yen each

"WABICHA"
This collection expresses "wabi-cha," a style of tea ceremony and a uniquely Japanese aesthetic, through custom dyeing of leather materials. We will be releasing wallets made of cordovan and horsehide that express the simple color combination of the traditional "black tea bowl and tea" and the unique, deep hues of the colors.
The smooth, supple texture of the black tea bowl contrasts beautifully with the deep, slightly astringent green hue of the matcha, creating a rich beauty within its simplicity. This is not merely a matter of color combination; it embodies the spirit of wabi-cha (a style of tea ceremony emphasizing simplicity and understated elegance) and a unique aesthetic sensibility.

  • Wabi-cha is a style of tea ceremony that pursues profound beauty while maintaining simplicity, and is said to have been perfected by Sen no Rikyu, a tea master of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The spirit of wabi-cha embodies the aesthetic of "wabi-sabi," which values simplicity, unpretension, and harmony with nature, and is said to pursue richness of the heart rather than material wealth.

A belt made of cordovan and horsehide, exuding an overwhelming presence, is also available.

Belt "CORDOVAN 3parts BELT CUT-TO-FIT" 39,600 yen

This event will showcase not only the "JAPAN HERITAGE COLLECTION," but also a wide selection of belts. As spring and summer business styles become more diverse, adding a belt can help create a look that isn't too casual.

These belts are made with leather produced by two domestic tanneries. The exterior uses high-quality cordovan and horsehide from Shinki Leather, a world-renowned horsehide specialist factory, while the interior is luxuriously lined with Tochigi Leather's vegetable-tanned cowhide. Both are one-size-fits-all belts that can be cut to size, making them an excellent gift for someone special. This is a testament to The Warm Crafts Manufacture's meticulous attention to detail in materials, even in parts that are not visible from the outside.

All of our products use high-quality cordovan and horsehide leather produced by Shinki Leather. At this event, we will introduce items that allow you to fully appreciate Japanese craftsmanship, tradition, beauty, and depth.
