Nobuto Yamaguchi
Born in Tokyo. He enrolled in a fashion design school, aspiring to become a tailor. After graduating, he learned the fundamentals of tailoring at Osaka Five One, then went to Milan for a year, attending language school and working at a tailor shop. After returning to Japan, he joined Mitsukoshi Isetan, and the following year began taking custom orders exclusively for customers. He was impressed by the clothes of Gennaro Solito, who was visiting Japan for an event at ISETAN MEN'S store, and while working, he made time to travel to Naples to study Neapolitan tailoring. In Spring/Summer 2014, he launched his own brand, La Scala. His hobbies include reading, and he loves history and classical literature.

He himself values "the feel and durability of the material, and practicality such as ease of movement, not just the appearance of the design," when choosing what he wears in his daily life, and this refined skill and aesthetic sense are reflected in his manufacturing process.
So, what are Nobuhito Yamaguchi's favorite autumn items?

1. Sleep should be a set too. I want to be wrapped in comfortable materials that I like.

I usually wear sweatpants to bed, but I've secretly longed for pajamas, so now that the weather is getting cooler, I chose a pair of PRISTINE pajamas at the underwear, socks, and nightwear section on the first basement floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .
As a tailor, I enjoy wearing matching sets of denim, workwear, and military-style clothing, even in my private life, so I realize that wearing pajamas as a "set specifically designed for sleeping" is something I personally like and am particular about.
I touched all the pajamas on display in the store and found that this one had the perfect thickness and feel against my skin, and I also liked the simple design. I'm looking forward to sleeping comfortably wrapped in this cozy feeling this autumn.

2. Autumn is the season for reading, so let Santa Maria Novella paper incense be your companion during your relaxation time.

I regularly use room fragrances at home when I want to relax or refresh my mood.
After trying various things like essential oils and candles, my favorite is Santa Maria Novella 's Armenian paper. I've been using it for a long time.
When cooked, the spicy aroma instantly fills the room, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I'd like to have it next to me on autumn nights while reading or studying.
