This time, with the theme of "Must-Have Items for Autumn 2024," Keita Tashiro, former editor-in-chief of Isetan Mens Net, picks out his favorites.

Keita Tashiro

I joined Isetan Co., Ltd. in 2008, and for the first 10 years I was in charge of sales, buying, and promotion planning for men's shoes. After that, I served as editor-in-chief of Isetan Men's Net. In 2019 I took on duties such as media strategy formulation at the head office, and in 2024 I joined my current position at Studio Alta Co., Ltd., a group company of Mitsukoshi Isetan Co., Ltd., where I am in charge of internal and external media planning.

As the Chief Comment Officer (CCO) of the Mitsukoshi Isetan Sauna Club, I am involved in branding and copywriting for the club, while also promoting the appeal of saunas.
My hobbies include visiting izakayas (Japanese pubs) with red lanterns and going to public bathhouses.
I've coined the term "world anomalies" to describe things that feel out of place in the world, and I'm dedicated to finding them.

---What are some things you value in your daily life and fashion, and what are your particular preferences when it comes to the things you wear?

"I often choose simple items made with good materials. When I shop, I'm drawn to things that I can feel the passion of the creator, so I tend to choose items that show that care and thought went into them. Also, I like to wear different styles depending on the occasion." (Tashiro)

1. I adore cantate 's use of materials. I plan to add a brown turtleneck to my collection this fall.

My first encounter with cantate was when a senior colleague at my company introduced me to designer Matsushima-san during the brand's early stages. I was impressed by each and every piece, which is basic yet incredibly meticulous about the materials, and since then I've been buying from them almost every season. I'm such a big fan that I wear Cantate clothes for half of the week (laughs).
I particularly love the material used in this item, and I own about 20 pieces in total, including T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and turtlenecks. I love it because it doesn't look sloppy even when worn alone, and there are many colors that are easy to use as innerwear. I'm planning to buy a new brown turtleneck this year. It will definitely be a great addition to my wardrobe, along with the white and black ones I already own.

2. I was captivated by Serge Lustance's fragrances, which led me to start wearing fragrances.

I discovered this fragrance through my wife, who works in men's cosmetics. I hadn't worn fragrance before, but the moment I discovered this scent, I was instantly captivated. The calming, incense-like fragrance seems to elevate my personal style. In my opinion, the scent lasts a long time; if I put it on at home in the morning before going out, it still lingers subtly until the evening. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I'm looking forward to enjoying it with various autumn styles.
