BALMAIN presents the "Disney x Balmain: The Lion King" collection, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Disney's Academy Award®-winning masterpiece, "The Lion King."
From Wednesday, July 17th to Tuesday, July 23rd, a pop-up shop will be held on the 6th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building Men's Creators, where we will be showcasing our first-ever collaboration collection linked to Disney's highly acclaimed story and the powerful themes and unforgettable characters that characterize "The Lion King."

The "Disney x Balmain: The Lion King" collection, which we are announcing today, was overseen by Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing and features ready-to-wear and accessories based on the works of three young African artists.

South African artist Nika Mutwana skillfully incorporated a scene from "The Lion King" reflected in the lenses of Balmain sunglasses into her artwork. Cameroonian artist Enfant Precoce depicts Simba, the star of "The Lion King," traversing a dreamlike landscape. South African artist Cassius Kumaro uses a striking combination of vibrant blue, deep black, and gold leaf to design the image of Nala, the strong and independent lioness from the Disney film.
