S.T. Dupont
In 1872, founder Simon Tissot-Dupont established a workshop for luxury leather goods. Later, they began producing high-end travel cases, which became popular among celebrities worldwide. Then, in 1941, their lighters gained a cult following immediately upon their release, and in 1973 they introduced writing instruments, followed by accessories in 1989.
In 2012, the company was awarded the "Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant" (Intangible Cultural Heritage Company) certification label by the French government, given to companies that carry on traditional and highly skilled techniques. In 2018, an S.T. Dupont lacquer craftsman was awarded the "Chevalier" of the Order of Arts and Letters. For a century and a half, skilled craftsmen have continued to create special items for special people, utilizing advanced techniques in high-quality leather, metal engraving, and genuine lacquer that have been passed down through generations. It is a brand that continues to be loved by customers all over the world.
