For Kuchimoto, "the things she loves" are culture, culture itself. Since falling in love with clothes at the age of 15, her style of clothing has changed as she has gained knowledge and experience, but the fundamental basis of "the things she loves" has remained unchanged.
"It might sound old-fashioned, but I generally don't shop online. But I do love shopping. So where do I buy things? Of course, in physical stores. In this day and age, information is everywhere, but I believe it's important to actually go and experience things. The places I went to, the memories I made, the stories of the people I met, and the culture—all of that is fashion, and that's why I love fashion so much. So, my 'hobbies: fashion. special skills: fashion. work: fashion.'" (Kuchimoto)
What are the favorite items of Yuki Kuchimoto, who loves fashion and continues to face each item head-on?
Here are some of my favorite items that I want to share new moments with this spring!

► [What's in the Bag] What's inside the work bag that a menswear professional carries around?
1. Items that are visible to others should be simple and of high quality.

"These are three leather goods I recently purchased at Valextra flagship store in Milan, Italy. I particularly love the money clip's minimalist and elegant design. I bought a navy one when I visited Milan four years ago. It's an item I've been using for a long time, and for this third one, I chose Valextra green, incorporating my key color. I believe that items that are often seen by others should be simple and high-quality. Many people coordinate the colors of their accessories, but this time I deliberately chose different colors. I focused on colors that reflect my own style. I really like how the brown coin case and black glasses case come together to create a cohesive look."
2. I was drawn to the logo and discovered "NONFICTION" in Korea.

"I think simple things suit adults best. I love fonts and logos, but since I usually wear a suit, I hesitate to wear a logo T-shirt on my days off. In that respect, the inside of my bag is a microcosm. It's my own space, so I feel free. Naturally, the accessories I choose tend to be those with fonts and logos that appeal to my sensibilities."
The lipstick and fragrance from NONFICTION that I'm introducing today are perfect examples. Of course, the quality of the products (scent and feel) is one of the reasons I like them, but I also love the font on the packaging, so I always want to keep them in my bag. I bought mine at a department store in Korea last year, but they're also available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1st floor, so please check them out!
3. Customize everyday items to your heart's content.
"I use stickers in my work phone. Clear cases are popular right now, but I've actually only ever used clear cases (laughs)."
There aren't any specific rules, but I include my favorite things that I want to carry with me right now, in a free and easy balance, from brand and hotel stickers I received when I visited Italy recently, to things I've been given by clients through my work.
If you love fashion and Italy, I think this logo will really appeal to you (lol). I also like that it's easy to see and won't get lost.
I've attached my house keys to a keychain I found at a vintage clothing store; it's from a hotel abroad. I find a certain charm not only in clothes, but also in old keychains. It's fun to imagine the stories behind those places, isn't it?
