Blancpain reopens at Isetan Shinjuku! A wide variety of models are available, including boutique-exclusive items.
BLANCPAIN will be reopening its store on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building in the Watch Department on Wednesday, December 13th! To commemorate the reopening, the brand's signature diver's watch, the "Fifty Fathoms Tech Gonbessa," and boutique-exclusive items that have not been available at Isetan Shinjuku before will be on display.
Blancpain is the world's oldest existing luxury watch brand, founded in 1735 in the Jura region of Switzerland by Jean-Jacques Blancpain. It is a rare Swiss manufacture that produces only mechanical watches and equips all of its watches with in-house movements.
Blancpain's philosophy is to create timepieces that cherish the noble Swiss watchmaking tradition, while constantly being innovative. This includes having a single watchmaker assemble each movement by hand, as well as applying hand-finishing to even the smallest, unseen details.
Seventy years ago, an icon was born: the Fifty Fathoms. This watch, the world's first modern diver's watch, revolutionized the world of watchmaking and was designed by Jean-Jacques Pfister, then CEO of Blancpain, who was passionate about scuba diving.

The Bathyscaphe is one of the main lines of the "Fifty Fathoms Collection," which was created in 1956 with the aim of creating a diver's watch that could be worn every day. It has evolved year after year, and in 2013, it was reinterpreted to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the "Fifty Fathoms" collection. The "Bathyscaphe Complete Calendar," which combines sporty functions with a day, month, and date display, is a model that further strengthens the principle of prioritizing practicality for everyday use that created the original Bathyscaphe.
