Vitale Barberis Canonico (hereinafter referred to as VBC), a long-established Italian company, is one of the oldest mills (wool textile manufacturers) in Europe, founded in 1663. It is a prestigious Italian mill that is still run by the 13th generation of the Barberis Canonico family, and boasts the largest scale of Made-in-Italy wool production.
One of VBC's greatest charms is the sheen of its fabric. Of course, it's not just about the look; the light and smooth feel against the skin provides a comfortable and luxurious wearing experience.

By handling the entire production process from raw wool to the final product, we achieve 100% traceability (the ability to track the production history). Furthermore, we are committed to thorough environmental conservation by purifying 100% of our factory wastewater, recycling a portion within the factory, and returning the majority to nature. A collaboration with VBC, befitting the first season of the newly revamped ISETAN MEN'S

The revamped ISETAN MEN'S , launching in Autumn/Winter 2023, will offer suits and jackets that aim for universality, suitable for all people and occasions. In an era where mixed styles are becoming commonplace, the designs deliberately exclude regional influences such as Italian or British influences, instead focusing on a "stateless" aesthetic. The garments are manufactured by Towa Plum Co., Ltd. in Iwate Prefecture, one of Japan's leading factories specializing in full canvas construction.

The lapels are moderately wide to express a classic feel, while the slightly higher gorge adds a modern touch. The upper collar is designed to stand up nicely for comfort, and the shoulder line has a gentle slope to avoid looking overly flashy. In every aspect, the goal was to create a product that suits any occasion and the wearer.

This collaboration will feature suits made with "REVENGE Super 150's" and jackets made with "original fabric."
The "REVENGE Super 150's" series used in suits was named as an antithesis (counterattack) to the prevailing trend at the time that "simply a high Super number meant high quality." It can also be seen as a strong message from VBC, pursuing the highest quality fabric that can be worn for a long time. Using extremely fine micron wool comparable to cashmere, the warp and weft threads are both double-ply, resulting in a fabric that drapes beautifully and is durable enough to be worn for many years. A distinctive feature is its weight of 270g/LM, which makes it suitable for wear throughout the year.

The VBC "original fabric" used in this jacket was selected from their vintage collection. Its appeal lies in the classic texture with depth and character created by blending wool yarn and cashmere yarn, and then alternating between woolen and worsted yarns.
