From Wednesday, July 19th to Tuesday, July 25th, Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1st Floor, The Stage will host the "PIERRE JEANNERET EXHIBITION," an event showcasing and selling original works by Swiss architect PIERRE JEANNERET.

Pierre Jeanneret was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1901 and worked in the fields of architecture and urban planning. He collaborated on numerous projects with his cousin, the master of modern architecture, Le Corbusier. With his specialized architectural knowledge, Jeanneret supported Le Corbusier in terms of architectural technique. Between 1951 and 1965, he played a key role in the urban planning of Chandigarh, Punjab, India, and was involved in the design of public facilities and residential buildings.

After their deaths in the 1960s, their legacy and achievements faded and were forgotten over time. Gradually, Chandigarh's maintenance became inadequate, and old furniture was left neglected and discarded.

Later, in the early 2000s, Europeans who were surprised by this fact conducted on-site investigations and furniture restoration, leading to a renewed appreciation of its value.
