Snow inside Isetan department store!? An unbelievable outfit that creates a miracle | doublet 2023SS Collection

With the concept of "everyday wear with a touch of strangeness," doublet incorporates "outlandish ideas" into standard items such as jackets and T-shirts. Their originality extends beyond their products, and their runway shows each season are also generating buzz with their unconventional presentations. For their Spring/Summer 2023 show, doublet made it snow in the middle of summer in Paris. Now, it seems they're planning to make it snow "inside" the Isetan Shinjuku store…!?

The theme for the Spring/Summer 2023 season is "IF YOU WANT IT." In this age where the impossible can happen, if you truly wish for it, you can make any miracle happen. This collection, created with that sentiment in mind, will be presented in a space produced by designer Masayuki Ino himself. Just like a runway show in Paris, a miracle might happen "inside" Isetan...!?

As I entered the main entrance, I thought, "Huh? Is it snowing?"
I need to borrow an umbrella to go shopping today.

Gloves and sleeves combined?! A jacket with "hands" that completely cover your fingertips. The skirt, which starts off with a fringe midway through the fabric, has human "legs" printed on it using an airbrush. Be sure to check out the real thing to experience this不思議な (mysterious/unusual) illusion!

Escalators shut down due to snow!?
For now, we'll just have to make do with a bucket (bag)!

The bucket bag, crafted to look exactly like the real thing, is made from recycled leather coated with foil. The check shirt, featuring a transfer print of a vintage shirt, boasts wrinkles and a three-dimensional effect that are impossible to achieve on a flat surface, creating an addictive, almost surreal, sense of incongruity!

When I arrived at my destination floor, I was greeted by a snowy landscape. Maybe I should stay in the elevator a little longer to shelter from the snow.

The white cut-and-sew top worn underneath is a staple item from the brand, utilizing the techniques of Arimatsu tie-dyeing. The spiky, hedgehog-like fabric stretches, making it surprisingly wearable even for people over 3 meters tall. What looks like a ponytail is actually a wig attachment (removable) on the cap!

When I went up to the rooftop, the sky was a clear blue. It seems the only place it's snowing is inside Isetan...!?

The futuristic jacket, which looks almost like metal, is made from recycled leather using leftover scraps from the production process, coated with foil, and then given a rusty look using hand-painting and airbrushing. The sweater and knit pants also feature silver foil and a rusty pattern.

The T-shirt with the brand's iconic mascot peeking out from the pocket is back this season, featuring a snowman in keeping with the collection's theme. The black T-shirt with a spray-painted snow effect is an exclusive item available only at Isetan Shinjuku!

Wearing impossible clothes, you'll want to create impossible miracles. This pop-up shop, where you can fully enjoy the unique world of doublet, starts on Saturday, February 11th.
