JAXURY at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building showcases authentic Japanese luxury.

The "JAXURY" space, established in 2022 on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , is a project launched by university professors and experts to explore Japanese tradition and innovation and uncover the essence of luxury. Befitting the Isetan Men's Residence floor, it showcases "Japanese luxury" not only in high-quality fashion but also across all aspects of lifestyle. It's a new spot at Isetan Shinjuku where you can enjoy a blissful time experiencing authentic Japanese craftsmanship.

We authentically showcase "Japan-made" "genuine" products and "comfort."

"JAXURY" may be an unfamiliar word, but it is a coined term that embodies the meaning of "Japan's Authentic Luxury," combining Japan's origins, authenticity, and comfort. As times change, the value of analog over digital, and of meticulous craftsmanship over mass production, is being re-evaluated, and Japan's unique technology and sensibilities are among them. Through events and other activities, we have received positive feedback from both men and women as a place where people can experience the unknown wonders of Japan.

Arita ware x makeup brushes x barber shop shaving set

In January, a limited edition of 10 Arita porcelain shaving sets will be sold at "JAXURY". This set is the result of a collaboration between Arita Porcelain Lab, which continues to uphold tradition and innovation; Chikuhodo, makers of Kumano brushes renowned for their delicate craftsmanship and high quality; and THE BARBER, known for its reliable techniques and relaxing atmosphere. Combining THE BARBER's expertise in face brushes with the techniques of Kumano brushes, the handles and other parts feature patterns from Arita Porcelain Lab's representative "JAPAN series". With a dignified yet modern color scheme, it brings a refined sense of aesthetics to everyday life.

ARITA PORCELAINLAB

This modern brand is from Yaemon Kiln, an Arita ware pottery studio with a history of over 200 years, and is tailored to contemporary lifestyles. Skilled craftsmen utilize their closely guarded techniques to create luxurious yet refined Arita ware.

CHIKUHODO/Chikuhodo

In 1971, master brush maker Tesshu established the Chikuhodo makeup brush workshop. Responding to the demands of numerous cosmetics manufacturers and makeup artists, their reliable "techniques" and "innovations" have earned them a high level of trust as one of the world's leading makeup brush manufacturers.

THE BARBER

Hiro Matsuda, who studied at a cutting school in London in 1974 and was selected in 2003 as a "Contemporary Master Craftsman," an award given to those with outstanding skills and considered to be the leading figures in their field, runs a barbershop not only in Japan but also in New York.

Cleansing pores is considered essential in skincare, and brushes are said to be effective for this. The time spent pampering yourself with your favorite tools seems like it would be a truly luxurious and blissful experience.
