A buyer looking for a casual jacket for adults fell in love with it at first sight.

Lutèce has been available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building since 2022, but the buyer had apparently been keeping a close eye on the brand for two or three years prior. As dresses became more casual, there was a growing demand for casual jackets, but those with military origins didn't appeal to adults who sought both quality and elegance. However, Lutèce, while based on military uniforms, exudes an indescribably sophisticated atmosphere, and the discerning buyer was instantly captivated by the unique charm of this French brand.

Lutèce was founded in 2019 by Belgian designer Jean-Baptiste. While 100% of its products are made in France, this commitment is one of the points that appealed to buyers. French ready-to-wear clothing, especially women's dresses, is known for its three-dimensional construction using woven fabrics without interlining, and this expertise is also utilized in Lutèce's jackets. Because of its commitment to preserving French craftsmanship, mass production is difficult, and Jean has a strong desire to "sell his products carefully within his reach," resulting in a limited number of retail locations. Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building is one of the few stores that Lutèce has opened its doors to.
