"When it made its debut at last year's shoe fair, the limited edition of 100 pairs was almost completely sold out by the second day! Many people lined up before the store even opened, so Kruger & Brent is likely to be one of the highlights of this year's shoe fair as well. In fact, these shoes are made by Berwick, which originates from Almansa in southeastern Spain, a region that has been famous as a center for leather shoe production for 200 years. Last year, there were three styles: cap toe, plain toe, and loafer. This year, there are three styles: tassel loafer, U-tip, and side-gore boot, all limited to 100 pairs. With the Goodyear welted construction by skilled craftsmen, the upper made by Dupuy of France, and the outsole made by Rendenbach of Germany, this price is truly amazing."

BARKER

"Barker, a long-established shoemaker founded in 1880 by Arthur Barker in Northampton, the heartland of British shoemaking, supplied army boots to the British military during World War I. Currently, at their large factory in Earls-Burton, Northampton, 150 craftsmen produce dress shoes with a distinctly British, refined look. Goodyear-welted shoes made in Northampton usually cost around 70,000 to 80,000 yen, but these dignified, closed-laced straight-tip shoes, complete with shoe trees, are available for around 30,000 yen including tax. This is Barker's first appearance at the shoe fair, and I truly bowed my head many, many times before finally being able to make this price a reality (tears of joy)."
