Object-like perfection and intricate gimmick design: The thoughts of three men embodied in ENOS jewelry | Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store
E-NO'S, a Japanese jewelry brand with a "retro-modern" theme that evokes a sense of nostalgia and features appealing industrial designs, will be making a limited-time appearance at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store starting December 22nd (Wednesday).
Each piece created by Enos is meticulously crafted with intricate mechanisms, and because each one is made individually, it possesses not only the inherent "rarity" of jewelry, but also a beauty and presence that resembles an art object, thanks to its three-dimensional structure assembled from 10 to 30 or more parts.
This time, we'll introduce the thoughts and feelings of the three men who poured their hearts into Enos's jewelry.
"We want to create jewelry that we ourselves would want, not for anyone else."
With that vision in mind, Enos was founded in 2000 by three individuals: Mr. Enomoto, Mr. Kambara, and Mr. Yaegashi .
Even if it meant defying conventional ideas, and even if it was jewelry that only one in a thousand people would want, they wanted to believe in themselves and create it.

The design concept is a unique worldview that finds beauty in the retro and industrial aesthetic of the 1930s, where machine parts and other components are exposed. Designer Yaegashi himself drew inspiration from rusty nuts and other objects that he always kept in his pocket as a treasure when he was a child, and then destroyed and reconstructed their mechanical structures to create ENO's jewelry designs.
"Solid and heavy," "Cannot be resized," "Fully three-dimensional structure with no front or back," "Some products have more than 30 parts "...
These characteristics of Enos are concepts that were previously considered unsuitable for jewelry . However, the gimmicks, originality, quality, and coolness of the products created with this unique worldview were precisely what they sought in jewelry unlike anything else in the world .

It was difficult for ordinary jewelry craftsmen to bring Enos' designs to life, but only Mr. Kambara was able to fully grasp designer Yaegashi's vision and turn it into a finished product .
The intricate combination of numerous small parts requires many times more time and effort than typical jewelry making , but the dedication to craftsmanship, backed by such delicate processing techniques, is evident in every single component.
The jewelry, imbued with the feelings of three men, must find someone who will understand and appreciate it.
It's certainly not cheap. It's not trendy, so nobody owns it, and maybe it doesn't sell because it's too unique.
"But this is cool . This is the kind of jewelry we confidently recommend ."
Manager Enomoto has remained true to this vision, continuing his steady sales efforts and branding . It could be said that it's a miracle that Eno has been able to continue for over 20 years .

We are still only halfway there. As we evolve as genderless jewelry, ENOS continues to change, but our beliefs remain unchanged. We will continue to push forward towards the world, defying conventional thinking .
And now, finally, E-nos is making a limited-time appearance at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
This is a rare opportunity to see firsthand the world of jewelry, where the level of perfection is like that of an art object, and the intricate mechanisms are interwoven .
