Goyemon's "unda," a completely new type of footwear that combines traditional Japanese sandals (setta) and sneakers, is attracting attention. From Wednesday, May 26th to Monday, May 31st (*), a pop-up event will be held Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, Men's Shoes, featuring the updated model "unda 2.0." Additionally, "unda 2.0" will be available at the Mitsukoshi Isetan online store from Saturday, May 29th.

To preserve traditional Japanese techniques, "unda" is a fusion of traditional Japanese sandals (setta) and sneakers, combining Japanese tradition with cutting-edge technology. Its functionality and unique design make it a truly distinctive shoe. Its versatile appearance complements not only traditional Japanese clothing but also casual fashion like denim and even high fashion, giving it a hybrid presence as a cutting-edge footwear choice.

The midsole has been adjusted to the optimal level of softness and hardness, and the inclusion of an air unit further reduces impact. As the name suggests, it features a feeling like walking on clouds.

Two years after its initial release, the "unda 2.0" has been updated for this season. While retaining its most distinctive feature—the combination of an air unit and traditional Japanese sandals—the outsole material and structure have been completely redesigned and reconstructed, resulting in a weight reduction of approximately 25%. You will be able to experience a lighter feel compared to the previous model.

Two new colors will also be unveiled during the event. The long-awaited all-white "Shiro" features a water-repellent fabric, making it stain-resistant and giving it a cool, refreshing look. With the versatility of white sneakers, it has a design that blends naturally with any fashion style.

The other color, "Kinari/Natural," features a highly abrasion-resistant fabric for the upper and ripstop fabric, also used in outdoor gear, for the thong. This pair comes in a sophisticated color that goes well with natural tones.
