Grounds, a footwear brand launched in July 2019, will be holding a pop-up event at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , B1F Men's Shoes section , to showcase its latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection. The event will run from Wednesday, February 24th to Tuesday, March 9th.

Grounds is a footwear brand supervised by Mikio Sakabe, the fashion designer of MIKIOSAKABE, with the concept of "creating a new form of communication between the earth and humanity through shoes."

It is one of the few brands in Japan that manufactures its own outsoles, and with its distinctive transparent and voluminous outsoles, it proposes sneakers that are considered in a fashion context rather than a sports context.

This pop-up will feature the "Highway" collection, which is a new addition for this season.
This collection is inspired by a "nighttime highway," mixing the bright night sky illuminated by artificial light, the asphalt and concrete stretching across the ground, and the streaks of light flowing across them. It primarily uses navy and burgundy, reminiscent of the night sky, while incorporating bright colors such as neon and yellow.

Among them, the "JEWELRY TRANSPARENT," with its transparent upper and sole, is attracting a lot of attention. With a thick sole made of transparent spheres reminiscent of jewels, it's a shoe that draws the attention of both the wearer and those who see it to the feet.

In addition to these, we will introduce a total of 17 items, including items in a new "mint" color sole and the "INTERSTELLAR JAWS" which was just released in February.
