From Wednesday, February 24th to Tuesday, March 9th, a pop-up store for UNKNOWN PRODUCTS, a brand by designer Yuya Takate and craftsman Hiroshi Fujiwara, will be open for a limited time at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F Bags section. During the event, in addition to the brand's inline products based on its unique concept, items exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku Store will also be on display.

Founded in 2019, Unknown Products is a Japanese product brand committed to domestic production and meticulous craftsmanship, aiming to create timeless and universal products. They offer items that embody "Japanese identity" and "the depth of Japanese craftsmanship," based on various themes and concepts.

This time, one of the items in the lineup, the "Leather Paper Bag," will be available exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku Store . A leather shopping bag featuring Isetan's iconic check pattern will be available at this pop-up venue and the Mitsukoshi Isetan online store.

This shopping bag, the same size and pattern as Isetan's handbag (S size), has been elevated to a "reusable" shopping bag by using leather, reflecting growing environmental awareness. The entire bag, including the handles, is made of cowhide for durability, and the finished product showcases the brand's commitment to craftsmanship, from the molding to the sewing techniques.

The bag faithfully reproduces the "real" handbag, with details such as the Isetan logo and warning labels on the inside and bottom. The level of detail is so high that you'll find yourself wanting to compare the two side-by-side.
We offer two color and pattern options: Macmillan check and Black Watch. These premium "paper bags made from leather" are meant to be used repeatedly until they're wrinkled, allowing you to enjoy the unique character of the material.
