Prada has opened a limited-time pop-up store at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , focusing on its new "Prada Re-Nylon" collection, which uses sustainable recycled nylon. In addition to menswear, which will be offered for the first time in this collection, accessories will also be available. The store will be open from Wednesday, October 21st to Tuesday, November 3rd.

What are Prada's efforts toward achieving "complete" sustainability?

"Prada Re-Nylon" uses ECONYL®, a recycled nylon made from marine plastic waste, fishing nets, and textile waste. Following the capsule collection of six bag styles released in June 2019, this new collection expands the lineup further, introducing apparel and shoes for the first time.

The menswear line, which blends luxurious silhouettes with sportswear elements, includes sporty items such as T-shirts.

In addition to using recycled nylon in a range of shoes including combat boots and sneakers, as well as hats, belts, and various bags, all of these items feature a redesigned version of the brand's iconic triangle logo, transformed into a triangle-looping arrow logo, expressing the timeless concept of "Prada Nylon" that will endure forever.

This initiative aims to reduce the global warming impact of nylon materials by up to 80% by converting all nylon to "Econyl®," saving 70,000 barrels of oil for every 10,000 tons of recycled nylon fiber produced. The goal is to convert all virgin nylon to "Prada Re-Nylon" by the end of 2021.

Furthermore, prior to the above event, a special installation showcasing the collection will be held from October 11th (Sunday) at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 3rd floor = Men's Designers. Incorporating the next-generation "Prada Re-Nylon," visitors can enjoy the new value of "circular luxury" that the brand is actively pursuing.
