Hermès' portrayal of the modern man living in the contemporary world
The more you carefully examine each item, the more you feel the fusion of luxurious adult elegance and Hermès' signature playfulness. The limited-time Hermès men's boutique, currently being held on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , offers a wide selection of ready-to-wear, leather goods, and accessories from the 2020 Autumn/Winter men's collection. Understanding the meaning of the pop-up theme, "Rêve hypnotique d'Hermès," displayed at the entrance, will deepen your understanding of the collection.
The latest collection with added artistic appeal.
Hermès has adopted "Rêve hypnotique" as its pop-up theme. As the phrase "hypnotique" suggests, the story, which expresses a fantastical and bewitching dream, is continuously embodied from the window next to the main entrance on the first floor of the building to the store itself.
The eye-catching, distinctive marble pattern is a design by Miguel Chevalier, a digital artist active in France, called "hypnotique." It is printed on shirts and can be seen in the details of clothing, adding the appeal of modern graphics to the wardrobe.

With "radical" as its theme, the Fall/Winter 2020 collection explores the essence of clothing while creating a light and structured look. It features many relaxed, loose silhouettes, and the style of wrapping oneself in gorgeous outerwear feels fresh.
The entire collection is coordinated in black, charcoal gray, beige, and sepia tones, and when you look closely at the details, you'll find leather trim on the pockets and cuffs of the coats, intricate and detailed embroidery, patterned linings, and hand-stitched leather pieces attached to cashmere—all of which stand out in stark contrast to the bold designs that are so characteristic of Hermès.
The look that greets you at the entrance of the store features a bow-tie shirt that creates an elegant look at the chest, relaxed-fit trousers with wide thighs and adjustable belts at the hem, and a double-breasted cashmere trench coat. The coat has leather on the placket, and the contrasting textures of the matte cashmere and leather, as well as the tone-on-tone effect created within the single coat, are artistic, while the voluminous side-gore boots on the feet tie the whole look together.
Other noteworthy items include a goatskin leather jacket available in a choice of zip-up stand-up or hooded design. Goatskin, which is often seen in women's collections, is rarely used in men's collections, and its soft feel, making it easy to wear right out of the box, makes it an irresistible choice.
Furthermore, the "Toaru Ice" outerwear, which shines dully like the surface of ice, is perfect for creating tone-on-tone variations when combined with matte materials such as cashmere, wool, and alpaca for the innerwear. The two colors, dark brown and charcoal black, which change their sheen depending on how they are reflected in the light, are exceptional.

Furthermore, the pop-up boutique will feature a wide selection of new jewelry, including bracelets, keychains, cufflinks, and pendants, as well as leather goods, all timed to coincide with the boutique's opening. Don't miss the voluminous shoe collection, such as side-gore boots, short boots inspired by the hardware of the "Kelly Bag," and trekking shoes with eye-catching red laces.
