As you all know, Salon de Shimaji sells rice grown in Mr. Shimaji's rice paddies. You can choose from two types: pre-washed rice and polished rice.

Shimaji : "The rice from my fields is grown without pesticides or insecticides. It's vacuum-packed in 2-cup portions, so it's convenient to take home. We also have boxes of 6 packs."

Both pre-washed and polished rice are available in 2-cup packs for 540 yen.

Shimaji : "Low-carb diets are popular these days, but I believe that rice is a source of energy. Please eat the rice from my rice paddy and become healthy!"

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
