At "Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2020 S/S," held last October, Matsui used Takaomi's installation "Nobono Izumichi" as the main inspiration for his show, which took place in a venue where the sound of glass pieces clashing together echoed.

This exhibition is linked to Nobuyuki Matsui's Spring/Summer 2020 season theme, "Water Mirror." Clothing that was scheduled to be discarded is connected using the "Hachisashi" stitch, and an installation is recreated using a hand-dyed indigo carpet and countless glass chimes suspended from the ceiling. In addition, T-shirts with the "Hachisashi" stitch applied to the collar and hem will be exhibited and sold exclusively Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .
We invite you to enjoy a space where the "clothing that can be cherished for a long time," which Mr. Matsui aims for, born from tradition and craftsmanship, and the "beautiful art" that embodies natural energy, resonate together.

She studied psychology in the UK, where she was influenced by local art and the environment, and began making clothes. With a strong interest in tailoring, she gained experience with young London brands before returning to Japan in 2015. From the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, she began creating clothing for artistic expression, and from the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, she began full-scale production of ready-to-wear clothing. She values handcrafted work born from tradition and artisanal skills, and aims to create clothing that can be cherished for a long time.

In 2000, she completed the training course at the Tokyo Glass Art Institute. In 2002, she opened glass café gla_gla in Suetsukiura, Lake Toya. She has created installations at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art and Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park, and has also provided artwork for films, hotels, and commercials. In 2017, she expanded her activities by touring France, the United States, and Japan.
