4. Backpack or tote bag? The truth about work bags.

Hayashibara: This time I introduced tote bags and clutch bags, but do you all use tote bags or backpacks for commuting?
I often use a backpack , but backpacks wrinkle my clothes, and in the summer my back gets wet with sweat, so sometimes I use a tote bag depending on what I'm wearing.


I also use both, Kanayama . With a backpack, you have to unfasten one strap, move it to the front, and then open the zipper to take out your belongings. With a tote bag, you can easily take out your belongings while it's slung over your shoulder, which is convenient when you're out and about. Fujimoto: I usually use a backpack when I'm working. But on crowded trains, a tote bag is less of a nuisance, right?
Sakamoto: Right now, I'm carrying my one-year-old child in a front carrier, so having a backpack that's heavy on my back is a real hassle. I prefer to carry a tote bag on my shoulder.

Sakamoto: I've gone shopping with my husband before, but I've never thought about buying one for myself. But when you fasten the sides of the bag with the inner belt, the shape changes and it becomes more feminine, so I think I could carry this.
