The "topo" table and chairs, a collaboration between architect Kengo Kuma, who designed the new National Stadium which will be the main venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Mitsukoshi Isetan Property Design (IMPD), have arrived at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Isetan Men's Residence.

"topo"
Chair (Width 51 x Depth 44 x Height 83 cm)
Table (Width 117 x Depth 56 x Height 72 cm)
*Tables only; custom sizes other than those listed above are also available.

IMPD's Rokugo Factory, with its 100-year history, leveraged its exceptional technology and accumulated experience to develop furniture in collaboration with Kengo Kuma, one of Japan's leading architects, and commissioned a factory specializing in high-quality OEM furniture production. The result is a unique piece of furniture that embodies Kuma's creative passion for wood.

Kengo Kuma, known for his extensive experience in designing buildings using wood, chose sustainable timber certified by the international forestry certification body FSC® as his material. The table and chairs, which are modern reinterpretations of natural wood carved from solid wood, are most appealing for their topographical, uneven design.

The details, such as the joints, which Mr. Kuma was particularly meticulous about, are finished by hand by skilled craftsmen, and the texture of the wood is delicately expressed. With its stylish design yet the warmth of wood, this unique table and chair set will transform your home or office into a more special space.
