From November 2nd (Saturday), Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 2nd floor, Men's Creators "ART UP" will host "MOUT EXHIBITION 2," a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Chris Namaizawa, who is based in Tokyo and attracting attention from various quarters.


Chris Namaizawa established a fashion brand in 2006, and then transitioned to being an artist in 2012. He continues to create art pieces based on his background in Tokyo street culture and the fashion associated with it.

Based on a vast archive collected from his unique perspective, he creates works using the decoupage technique. Drawing on his experience running his own brand, he actively collaborates with apparel brands both domestically and internationally. To date, he has presented numerous works both in Japan and abroad, including at "Art Fair Tokyo" (2019, 2018) and "UNTITLED Art Fair" (2016/Miami), as well as in New York, San Francisco, Florence, Shanghai, and other locations.

This exhibition will showcase and sell canvas framed works created using decoupage techniques, using a vast collection of past fashion magazines that Chris Namaizawa has collected from his own unique perspective. In addition, T-shirts and hoodies that have been elevated to art pieces with edition numbers will also be available.
