Harvest season

Mr. Shimaji took Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th off for his annual rice harvest. He called to let us know that he had once again ridden the rice harvesting machine and harvested the new rice crop.


Shimaji : "I've finished harvesting the rice again this year. It looks like it's going to be a good harvest this year too. I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to eat the new rice. Of course, I'll write all the details in my newsletter, so look forward to it."

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
