New book released!!

Shimaji-san's long-awaited new book, "Stylish Yakuza: The Final Chapter," has been released. As a result, Salon de Shimaji turned into an impromptu autograph signing event.


Shimaji : "My new book is out now. It's a compilation of my serialized articles. It's a really substantial and worthwhile read. Please do read it. I'll even sign copies."


The newly released book is the final installment of "Stylish Yakuza," which was first published about five years ago. It's filled with Shimaji's passion for fashion.


Shimaji: "As I've said before, 'hobby' is amateurish. You have to master your craft. Only by mastering your craft can you become a professional."

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
