Grand Seiko exhibited at Milan Design Week 2019, the world's largest design festival, held in Milan, Italy, this past April. This was their second time exhibiting, following their participation in 2018, and this year they presented an installation themed "THE NATURE OF TIME," which represents the world view of Grand Seiko.

Ahead of the brand's installation "THE NATURE OF TIME" Tokyo exhibition, which will be held in Harajuku this month, a special exhibition by Grand Seiko will be on display on the 5th floor of the main building in the Watch/Promotion area until October 22nd (Tuesday).


In Milan, the brand expressed the concept of "time that is constantly changing and flowing, and its permanence," as reflected in its unique "Spring Drive" mechanism, through its spatial design. "Spring Drive" is Seiko's unique movement, characterized by its energy-saving design and smoothly moving second hand, and is installed in the main models of Grand Seiko.

This year's limited-edition model for Isetan Shinjuku also features the "Spring Drive" movement. The sophisticated blue dial, befitting Isetan Shinjuku, creates a calm and refined atmosphere, while the refreshing yellow second hand adds a touch of accent.

Furthermore, until Thursday, October 31st, the 5th floor of the main building, Watches/Grand Seiko, is showcasing a wide selection of the "Heritage Collection," including Grand Seiko watches exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku.
