Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Isetan Men's Residence will be hosting a PORTER CLASSIC workshop for two days only, on October 19th (Sat) and 20th (Sun). Participants can customize an indigo-dyed tenugui (Japanese hand towel) to create their own original scarf.


Gauze tenugui (Japanese hand towels) are versatile items that can be used as stoles or head wraps. In this workshop, you can create your own unique stole by customizing an indigo-dyed tenugui with a film reel motif using hand painting, hand embroidery, and specially made patches created for this event.


On the day of the event, artist mimoe, who has worked on numerous Aloha series, silk stoles, and "SASHIKO LOVE" wallpapers for PORTER CLASSIC , and a seamstress from the same brand will be specially participating as instructors. They will offer design advice and demonstrations of the production process.

A stole that you design yourself and customize with your own heartfelt thoughts will give you a sense of attachment that you can't get from a mass-produced item. We look forward to your participation in these two days, where you can spend special time with family, friends, or your loved one that you wouldn't normally experience.
