Rowing Blazers, a New York brand helmed by an elite Oxford University graduate, former US national regatta player, and Doctor of Archaeology, has just opened on the 7th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building in the Men's Contemporary section. The brand focuses on the blazer, a symbol of American traditional style that is once again attracting attention.

Jack Carlson, who studied archaeology at Oxford University, one of Britain's most prestigious universities, also became engrossed in rowing regattas. While becoming familiar with the blazer, the uniform of rowers, his inquisitive nature led him to unravel its history through an archaeological approach, culminating in the publication of the visual book "ROWING BLAZER" in 2014. He is truly a leading expert on blazers.

Driven by a desire to restore the blazer, which had changed over time, to its original and correct form, he conducted further research and finally launched this rowing blazer in 2017. Rowing refers to the sport of boating. In other words, it's a blazer brand that is faithful to the original, based on the racing uniform worn by boatmen in the mid-19th century.
