A journey through all 47 prefectures and the message conveyed through that journey.
Every Denim was founded in 2015 with the theme of bridging the gap between makers, such as artisans working in denim factories concentrated in the Setouchi area, including Okayama, and consumers, and with the belief of "delivering denim that is not consumed." In September of the same year, they raised funds through crowdfunding and started selling their products.
Every Denim does not have a physical store, but operates a mobile sales business nationwide from its camper van, "Every-go," where customers can try on products and place orders. They began touring the country in April of last year, and while interacting with local people, they not only sell products but also offer indigo dyeing workshops and explanations of the denim manufacturing process, aiming to make denim more accessible to people.
Their activities embody the brothers' message: "We want people to cherish and wear our products by learning about the thoughts and production background behind them." In 2017, they were selected as one of Forbes' "30 Under 30 Asia." They are also attracting attention as figures whose lifestyle and work style resonate with young people of the same generation.
The new release is "Spoke," a timeless, authentic denim.
The new product to be unveiled at the three-week limited-time exhibition, "The Final Destination of a Journey Through 47 Prefectures," is "Spoke," a timeless, authentic denim that will be at the heart of Every Denim's product line.
These jeans use yarn made with 100% natural indigo from Sakamoto Denim, a long-established dyeing factory in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, a major denim production area, that has been dyeing yarn for over 120 years since its founding in 1892. The denim fabric, which has a unique thickness and softness, is woven by Shinohara Textile, a long-established factory in Fukuyama that has been involved in fabric weaving since the Meiji era. The silhouette is a moderately slim straight cut, emphasizing a clean and neat appearance.
