Shimaji : "I don't think many people these days know about them, but I got my hands on a pair of Finch pince-nez glasses. They're famous for being worn by Shigeru Yoshida. They're glasses that you wear by clipping them onto your nose. They're frameless, lightweight, and really nice."


The 8th floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building offers a wide selection of eyewear and related items. They also sell glasses from the brand that Mr. Shimaji uses. (Please note that pince-nez glasses are not sold here.)


Shimaji : "Until now, I kept my glasses collection in a case, but recently I bought a glasses stand from here at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor, and I've been displaying it in my room so I can admire my collection anytime. Beautiful things really boost my motivation."

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
