Last weekend, June 22nd (Saturday) and 23rd (Sunday), Mr. Shimaji was absent.
The reason was that he had returned to Ichinoseki for the annual rice planting at "Shimaji's rice paddies."


Shimaji : "I'm going to plant rice again this year. Please look forward to a bountiful harvest of delicious rice in the fall. Rice is a source of energy. Being healthy is the most important thing."


Although Mr. Shimaji was absent, many customers came to the store specifically for the "Glenfarclas 31 Year Old." Among them were customers from overseas who had heard about the store and made a visit.

I immediately reported what happened over the weekend to Shimaji-san,


Shimaji: "I'm so happy that so many people came even though I wasn't there!! Next week I'll be going to Salon de Shimaji, so let's all have a släinje with Glenfarclas 31-year-old!!"

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
