The event will feature "One For Daddy-O," a song from the classic album "Somethin' Else" (which also features jazz artist Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building dedicated to the father of American radio DJs, and Father's Day on Sunday, June 16th.
Furthermore, they are collaborating with J-WAVE (81.3FM), which will be running the "FEEL LIKE JAZZ" project for one month starting in June. During this period, J-WAVE navigators will introduce their recommended Blue Note Records tracks via the in-store broadcast system at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building .
Blue Note Records, the world's oldest jazz label, celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

Blue Note Records, a jazz label founded in New York in 1939 by Alfred Lion, a German immigrant who deeply loved the blues, achieved a major hit in 1940 with Sidney Bechet's "Summertime." In the 1950s, the label released a series of outstanding works that combined jazz sound, photography, and design, profoundly influencing the music scene.
Since then, it has produced numerous artists who have shaped the next generation of the jazz scene, to the point that it's no exaggeration to say that almost all modern jazz artists have come from Blue Note Records. Having overcome financial difficulties and made a comeback in the mid-80s, it produced the hit "Cantaloupe" by hip-hop artist Us3 in the 90s, and in recent years has had a global hit with Norah Jones, and continues to be a leading force in the jazz world.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of its founding, and in addition to holding collaborative projects and events in various locations to commemorate the occasion, the documentary film "BLUE NOTE RECORDS BEYOND THE NOTES" (directed by Sophie Huber), which traces the history of "Blue Note Records" through valuable archival footage and conversations with past artists and people closely involved with the label, is scheduled to be released nationwide in stages starting September 6th (Friday).
Only here in the world! Masterpieces crafted with a jazz aesthetic.

At Made to Measure on the 5th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building we offer a bespoke suit project focused on the styles of artists from BLUE NOTE RECORDS. We commissioned Osamu Nemoto of LID TAILOR, one of Japan's leading tailors and a source of pride for Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , to recreate 1960s jazz fashion with Nemoto's own interpretation. Based on the 1960s, considered the golden age of jazz, we propose an extreme Ivy League style that deconstructs the Ivy League look.
