British shoemaker BARKER , a long-established brand, and New York-based bespoke shoe brand BARKER BLACK will hold a joint promotion from Wednesday, May 8th to Tuesday, May 21st at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, Men's Shoes section. New products from both brands will be available for pre-sale in Japan, and a BARKER BLACK bespoke shoe order event will be held simultaneously.


Founded in Northampton, England in 1880, BARKER boasts a history of over 135 years and is a long-established brand that practices robust shoemaking using carefully selected materials and the Goodyear welted construction method. On-site, 150 skilled craftsmen handcraft dress shoes with a refined, distinctly British form, and they continue to be highly valued by gentlemen around the world.


Barker Black is a brand founded in New York in 2015 by the Miller brothers, designers who built their careers at Ralph Lauren and THOM BROWNE , deepening their understanding of American traditional style, in collaboration with the historic BARKER . While preserving British tradition and techniques, their playful and modern designs set them apart from established shoemakers and have garnered them considerable popularity.

For this promotion, BARKER will be offering a limited-time collection, including its regular line, all featuring new lasts. In addition, the upgraded high-end "Handcrafted Collection" will be launched in Japan ahead of other countries. Along with the pre-sale of four new models from the 2019 Autumn/Winter collection, Barker Black will also be holding Japan's first pattern order event, where customers can order their favorite pair from 15 styles, 3 materials, and 20 colors, all free of charge.
